The Ministry emphasizes the collaboration of the City Council, with which it has agreed the text presented today
The Ministry of Presidency and Development today presented to the City of Cartagena a draft of the municipality's transitional urban policy, which, once approved, will allow the economic and residential development of the city, as it will resolve the regulatory gap until the start of the new General Municipal Plan.
This was announced today by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Presidency and Promotion, Yolanda Muñoz, who together with the Mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, led a meeting in which he stressed that "this instrument, which we have agreed with the City Council, will allow That Cartagena continue to process key projects for the development of its economy in the short and medium term. "
"The regional government takes the initiative and presents this exceptional but necessary measure that will guarantee legal security and preserve the economic and residential activity of the municipality, until the arrival of the new General Urban Plan," said Yolanda Muñoz.
The secretary general considered that the standard could be approved in autumn and recalled that "today the Autonomous Community can offer this solution that gives legal coverage to the city of Cartagena thanks to the approval in 2015 of the new Land Law of the Region of Murcia ".
The transitional planning rule presented by the Community has to be approved in the Plenum of the City of Cartagena, and then pass on to public information.
Once incorporated the allegations estimated by the Consistory, will be sent to the Ministry of Presidency and Development and, after their legal analysis, will be submitted for approval by the Governing Council.
