The local Government Board, at the proposal of the Councilor for Culture and Heritage, Ricardo Segado, has approved an agreement between the City of Cartagena and the Casino Cultural Recreation Society of Cartagena.
The economic amount of the same for the current year is 5,000 euros, while for 2018 will be allocated the same amount.
The validity of the agreement will expire on December 31 of next year, establishing a possible renewal according to both parties.
In this way, the Consistory goes one step further in fulfilling its objective of contributing to the knowledge of the cultural heritage of the municipality.
This agreement converges the objectives of both entities, as the Casino de Cartagena regularly develops activities for its members, such as conferences, concerts or exhibitions, programming that are often open to the general public.
After the celebration of the local Board, Ricardo Segado said that the agreement "aims to open the doors of the Casino to Cartagena and visitors to promote their knowledge."
OBJECTIVE OF THE CONVENTION
With the signing of the agreement, in addition to the financial allocation, the City Council will be responsible for disseminating the cultural programming of the Casino through its media, also contemplating the use of street furniture and other media to disseminate the activities.
For its part, the Casino commits itself to opening the building for two days a month, providing the necessary resources to facilitate the guided tour of the groups organized by the Consistory.
Likewise, the City Council will have its facilities for possible events at least ten dates a year.
This, for conferences, exhibitions, projections or other cultural events, especially those related to the dissemination of Historical Heritage.
In addition, the Casino will be responsible for maintaining and caring for harmony in all elements of the building, both inside and outside, layout of furniture, signage, signage, etc.
CASA PALACIO DEL CENTRAL XVIII
The Casino of Cartagena has its headquarters in the old palace of the XVIII century of the Marquis of Casa Tilly, cataloged as Good of Cultural Interest.
The whole construction has a historicist style of the time.
Among its most outstanding elements are its marble columns, the work of the architect Víctor Beltrí.
