The Department of Social Services of the City of Cartagena, led by Carmen Manrtín, will facilitate the participation of 35 children with economic difficulties or danger of social exclusion in schools Javi Matía Cartagena team football Plásticos Romero.
The Local Government Board, meeting this morning under the presidency of the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón has approved the signing of a collaboration agreement in this regard, between the Cartagena City Council, Futsal Cartagena-Plásticos Romero and the Foundation Obra Social de la Caixa, which will support the participation of minors in sports schools.
Ana Belén Castejón has unleashed the social importance of this initiative that will allow the integration of the minors through a sports practice that will also stimulate their self-esteem and enhance their values.
The participation of the small ones will be carried out during the next school year, 2017-2018.
The Local Government Board has also approved, at the proposal of the Department of Equality, directed by David Martinez, the granting of grants to 59 associations of women to cover the maintenance costs and activities they organize.
The distribution has been carried out through competitive competition and in total have been granted aid for a total amount of 70,000 euros.
Also approved at the proposal of the Council of Education, directed by the same councilor, the renewal of the agreement with the Association of Children of Parents with Hearing Impairments (APANDA) for the treatment and psychomotor education in the area of ​​language, for which The City Council will contribute about 66,000 euros.
Other agreements of the Governing Board have referred to the direct granting of various subsidies such as the proposal by Social Services, amounting to 3,648 euros, to the Club of Elders of the Port of Santa Bárbara for the installation of air conditioning in their local;
By the Department of Education to the Association of Neighbors of the Neighborhood of the Conception for 500 euros for the organization of a school for summers for minors;
And those granted by Human Resources to the trade union sections of SIME and FSP-UGT, for 850 euros each.
