The Puertos de Santa Bárbara began on Friday, June 30, their popular fiestas, organized by their Party Commission and in which the Council of Festivities of the City of Cartagena collaborates.
Ten days dedicated to different themes so that all neighbors and visitors can enjoy music, gastronomy and games.
That same Friday the firing of rockets was the signal that began the celebrations and was followed the opening of the canteen.
That night began the different championships and the duo 'Gala' put music to the evening giving to the neighbors with the pasodoble of the town, 'The Ports of Santa Barbara'.
The party continued on Saturday and Sunday, among which activities include the championship of children's table football that was played on Saturday night.
The week began dedicated to the children who could enjoy all the afternoon of Monday of children's games, and already at night of mats.
On Tuesday the traditional 'Housewives Day' was celebrated with a dinner of coexistence with dishes prepared by the members of this group.
The migas were the protagonists of Wednesday night, in which the first deputy mayor and councilor for Sustainable Development, José López, the Councilor for Finance and Interior, Francisco Aznar, the Councilor for Tourism, Obdulia Gómez, and the Councilor delegate of Equality, David Martinez, and in which there was a draw of a ham, a loin and a ball of cheese.
To lower the crumbs an exhibition and zumba session followed by mojitos to remove the thirst after the physical exercise.
This Thursday the celebrations continue with the celebration of a foam party from 22:15 and Friday is the day dedicated to the elderly.
Saturday and Sunday, July 8 and 9, will be the big days of these holidays.
The Saturday will begin with a cyclist return neutralized by the streets of the town after which will be raffled a bicycle between all the participants.
That night will be a costume party with gifts for the little ones and the dispute of the absolute championship of table football.
Sunday will start the day with a Mass in the Hermitage of the Port of Santa Barbara at 10:30 hours.
Finally, with a night rociera to which is invited to go dressed, will end the holidays this year.
