This morning, the 9th edition of the Summer School for the Elderly, organized by the City Council of Cartagena through the Department of Social Services, has begun in the building La Milagrosa.
The councilor of the same, Carmen Martín del Amor, has come to know the participants of the school and to inaugurate this edition of it.
Martín has wanted the participants to enjoy the activities, he has expected them to feel at ease and to learn new things, before talking to them individually.
In total, 17 elderly people from the municipality will attend the school, as well as 12 people from the day centers of El Algar and Los Dolores who will attend activities in a timely manner.
The program will run from today, July 3 until next July 14 from Monday to Friday.
Each day will always begin with workshops Tai-Chi and Vitanz integrating dance, to start with a little movement before making the different workshops that will be held throughout the summer that will be painting, crafts, decoration, film-forum And kitchen, the latter in collaboration with the Agency for Local Development and Employment (ADLE).
The activities will be given by social service technicians and invited people to give talks.
