The literary section of La Mar de Músicas offers this edition the course 'The action of collecting and collecting as edition of a book' by the Chilean artist Martín La Roche.
A workshop dedicated to the creation of craft books for which only ten seats are offered.
The course will be taught from Monday 17 to Thursday 20 July.
Interested persons should request their registration in the email lamardemusicas@ayto-cartagena.es attaching a brief curriculum and explaining why they are interested in participating in this workshop included in the program of activities of La Mar de Letras.
The workshop plan is to invite a group of people to rethink a group of objects that they find interesting and have access to make a book.
The first day you will be invited to look at the different examples of books as a proposition and discuss what your interests might be in making a book.
The second day, the workshop will focus on editing that information and editing to make the book.
The third and fourth day will combine editing, design and printing of book projects.
The idea of ​​the workshop is that each participant can plan their collection book and take it home.
La Roche suggests that participants bring some set of objects or images that they would like to see appear in their books: a group of photographs, a collection of stones, a set of stamps, mobile images, texts or fragments of other books, letters And postcards, a series of images of a google search, a collection of napkins, etc.
Any constellation or grouping is welcome.
MARTÃN LA ROCHE
Martín La Roche (Santiago, 1988) studied Visual Arts at the University of Chile, in Santiago.
In 2015 he completed a post-diploma program at the Jan Van Eyck Academie in Maastricht, The Netherlands.
Since then he has worked between Santiago and Amsterdam.
His solo exhibitions include Gluing Along Boundaries, Manifold Books, Amsterdam, The Netherlands (2017);
