The Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (UPCT) today informed the president of the Community of its strategic lines of work for the coming years, which will continue to reinforce internationalization, technology transfer to companies, teaching quality, adaptation of Training itineraries to the productive market, employability, talent attraction, scientific-technical dissemination and the promotion of technological vocations.
Objectives that contribute to the regional development, according to have agreed to indicate the rector of the Polytechnic, Alejandro Diaz Morcillo, and the president of the Community, Fernando López Miras.
"The competitive improvement of the Region involves the incorporation of workers trained in technological innovation," summarized the head of the UPCT.
In this work, technological vocations and employment, the Community has prepared two concrete actions in which the University will play a key role.
The employability of Polytechnic degrees exceeds 90% and even 95% in some specialties, as highlighted by the Rector, who has claimed that this high demand for professionals is in tune with the social demand for these degrees.
The president has asked the president to continue the commitment of the former Executive with the construction of a new School of Architecture and Building and with the need to renew research infrastructures.
Likewise, the Polytechnic has asked the regional government for legal and financial cooperation to resolve the comparative grievance suffered by its administration and services staff, as has been done very recently with that of the decree to modify the legal and remuneration regime of hired labor personnel , Whose publication is imminent, in the words of the Counselor.
