The Councilor for Social Services, Carmen Martín del Amor, participated yesterday in the closing of the second edition of the Coaching Project of Maestros Mundi, in which a group of volunteers from the University Center ISEN provide socio-educational support to children at risk of social exclusion .
This project, which is carried out with the collaboration of the Department of Social Services, has attended this year 40 children, obtaining a positive result in terms of training, skills and study habits.
The mayor thanked the volunteers for their disinterested participation in this project and Maestros Mundi for the initiative.
"Personally, it is a luxury to be able to take part in initiatives like this one that, despite having a significant workload, are exciting and inspiring and without the volunteers of ISEN it would not have been possible to carry it out," he said.
One of the singularities of this initiative is that the support sessions are held at the homes of children at risk of exclusion, which is also complemented by playful and formative activities ranging from dance and sport to excursions and cultural outings.
