The Department of Social Services launches again the Summer Schools, aimed at seniors.
These will be held between 3 and 14 July, from Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the building of La Milagrosa.
This initiative aims to offer the elderly who do not have the opportunity to travel to holiday areas meeting places where they will develop activities suited to their demands and needs.
In this edition, it has been intended to program a wide range of activities for the elderly, which will be carried out, for the most part, by professionals from the Department of Social Services: cinema-Forum, talks, tai-chi, therapeutic dance, Modeling, kitchen, etc.
With all these activities the participants will develop their imagination and creativity, and in several sessions will work personal balance, well-being, emotions and feelings from an integral perspective.
In short, it is intended, through simple exercises, while having fun, introduce new patterns of behavior that help them feel better physically and psychically.
The Summer Schools for the elderly will be inaugurated on July 3 at 10:00 am in an event that will be attended by the Councilor for Social Services and Social Mediation, Carmen Martín del Amor, and the coordinator of this same council, Damián Pérez Olmos, and will be closed on July 14 at 12:00 hours with the delivery of diplomas of participation.
