Last Saturday, June 24, the 30th Anniversary of Gymnastics in Cartagena took place.

A gala dinner where coaches, gymnasts, managers and family of all the seasons met, from the beginning of Project Gymnastics Cartagena in the year 1985.

The Councilor for Sports, Ricardo Segado, accompanied by the Presidents of the Clubs and the Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences of the University of Murcia, enjoyed this celebration of a story of dreams and dreams fulfilled.

A gymnastics project in the city that is based on the close collaboration of the broad base of the Municipal Gymnastics School with more than 1,000 students a year and the Gimnasia Cartagena Project.

Formed by a great team, with coaches specialized in the methodology of educational and healthy gymnastics and by an excellent group of people and entities that have worked for 30 years in the direction and management of the clubs and Federations that form this project.

This event gives a golden edge to the events that took place during the anniversary and began on June 15 with a spectacular display with original gymnastic choreography that delighted the more than 2000 relatives and friends who topped the steps of the Central Pavilion.

And in which the marvelous gymnasts of the competition teams, who walk the name of Cartagena with pride by the world in the competitions of the highest level of the gymnastics, such as the impressive gold in the World Championship of Helsinki 2017 provided by the Senior Mixed Team of the Historical Club, the Rítmica Cartagena.

A brilliant and fun event where there was thanks to the families, the City of Cartagena, the Faculty of Sports Sciences of the University of Murcia, for their support to the research supporting two doctoral theses in rhythmic gymnastics and aesthetics proposed by teachers of the Club Rhythmic Cartagena and the Media as spokesmen for the values ​​that gymnastics brings to the health and training of people.
