More than 300 musicians gave a recital yesterday for all those who wanted to get closer to listen to the Closing Gala of the 2016-2017 course of the Municipal Conservatory of Cartagena.
A party that also organized an emotional farewell to the teacher and director of the bands, the orchestra and the Big Band, Andrés Pérez, who moves to the next course at the Conservatory of Music of Murcia.
The event was attended by about 500 people, including the Councilor for Culture, David Martínez, and the Councilor for the Quality of Life Area, Francisco Calderón.
The program began with the performance of the smallest, almost 100 children of the orchestra and children's choir gave a sample of what was learned throughout the course.
The group of Zarzuela, made up of students and teachers of singing at the conservatory, interpreted a fragment of zarzuela, dressed in the typical costumes of this musical genre.
The students of Cuadro Flamenco ended the first part of the program with a sample of cante and toque, after which took place the act of awarding scholarships and titles to 6th grade professional students who already bid farewell to the Conservatory.
In the second part of the event the Band, the Orchestra and the Big Band of the Municipal Conservatory played the professional grade students, directed by Andrés Pérez.
The director said goodbye with the concert of yesterday of the musical institution to which he has been linked for many years, that is why, from the Conservatory he wanted to do a homage with a projection at the end of the event.
