The Assembly of Teachers of Cartagena and Comarca in collaboration with the Department of Education Culture and Equality and the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, UPCT, held last Saturday June 17 the Day for Public School.
The Plaza del Rey and the Auditorium of the Roman Theater Museum were the stages of talks, workshops and cultural and sporting events throughout the day, prepared by schools.
The event was attended by Councilor for Education, David Martinez, who approached the opening of the day.
From 11:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., many citizens came to participate in this day which included workshops on holograms, geometry, launching of rockets or cave paintings among others.
In addition the participants could also enjoy cinema, concerts, dance, talks, exhibitions or exhibitions of parkour or circus shows.
These activities sought to give a positive spin on the lines of action of the Assembly, which until now had focused on demonstrations and strikes, to show the work that is done both from teaching and students in public educational institutions .
All the activities were organized and prepared "by the schools, and are the best example of the good practices that are carried out in public schools and institutes" explained the councilor in the presentation of this event, which indicated that it supposes a double Satisfaction for him both as a delegate councilor of the area and as a teacher and defender of public education and quality as the basic pillar of a society without inequalities.
