Cartagena spends twenty-four hours watching the sea for a beneficial cause. The Cultural Association Santiago Apostol and the AVV of Santa Lucía organized in collaboration with Social Services a weekend of activities to raise funds for several social (19/06/2017)

Gastronomy, workshops, dance and lots of music, overlooking the sea.

It was the joint proposal for this weekend of the Cultural Association Santiago Apostol and the Association of Neighbors Santa Lucia, who organized this Saturday 17 and Sunday June 18 the charity action '24 hours looking at the sea ', an event with which he collaborated The Council of Social Services of the City of Cartagena, whose proceeds will go to the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) of Cartagena, the Association of Our Lady of the Desamparados and the AMPA of the special education school 'Enrique Viviente' As a starter the 'Looking at the Sea DJ Festival' the night from Saturday to Sunday.

The site, which was located on the esplanade of the port, opened its doors on Saturday at noon in an inaugural ceremony that was in charge of the mayor, José López, and the president of the Port Authority of Cartagena, Antonio Sevilla, as well as with the assistance The Councilor for the Quality of Life Area, Francisco Calderón, and the Deputy Councilor for Education and Equality, David Martínez.

After the event, the attendees were able to taste typical tapas tapas and to know up close to the different social and cultural entities that had their positions in the enclosure.

Already in the afternoon the kick-off was given to a maritime regatta, followed by the performance of the choreographic group Mandala and an exhibition of Capoeira.

At night, after dinner, the speakers played the first notes of 'Looking at the Sea DJ Festival'.

Until well into the night, six 'disc jockeys' gave their best version for a good cause.

A free event from which the entire collection of bars will be used for social purposes.

They performed DJ Valdi (in charge for 11 seasons of setting the setting for the TV show 'El Hormiguero'), Juan Alcaraz, Alejandro Tolosa, Tonny Gómez, Danny Santos and DJ Monchu.

Finally, on Sunday, the concerts followed with tapas in a day where the attendees could enjoy a sample of Seat 600 and Vespa Motorcycles.

The 24 hours of this solidarity event ended at lunchtime with a solidarity cauldron.
