The rector of the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (UPCT), Alejandro Díaz, and the general director of Universities, Juan Monzó, today inaugurated the exhibition of the works presented in the first phase of the Ideas Competition for the Construction Project of the new Headquarters of the Escuelat Superior Technical of Architecture and Edification (ETSAE).
The exhibition is located in the Engine Ship, in the Campus of Alfonso XIII, and will be open until next Friday, June 30.
The exhibition gathers the 58 proposals validly presented, anonymously, among which the jury, composed of 12 people including 6 architects of national prestige, at its meeting on 30 and 31 May, made a selection of 14 proposals that are Duly identified in the exhibition.
Out of these 14 proposals, there are 6 finalists who will soon pass to the Second Phase, in which they will have to develop their proposal and adapt it to the indications of the jury, according to the needs of the UPCT.
Therefore, they are proposals that from now on will have to evolve, until the selection of the final project.
