It is a space of 3,775 meters that has been a protagonist in the history of this rural area during the last 65 years, and that more than 223 different species, grouped in 60 plant families.
Among them are cacti and other plants with short leaves.
It is a quiet enclosure surrounded by climbers that cover walls and meshes and in which is a wide range of environments and isolated areas in which different games of light, contrasts and chiaroscuro are observed.
With the transfer carried out on Tuesday, which was accepted by the Local Government Board on March 10, the City Council assumes ownership of a garden that could hold different utilities since, in addition to its influence as a large green lung, To highlight their ornamental interest for possible didactic uses of schoolchildren in botany.
Thus, the garden is expected to take the name of 'Orchard of Candide and Ana Maria'.
The cession agreement also includes the possibility of establishing collaboration agreements and information purposes with entities related to botany or non-profit nature conservation associations.
