The organizing team of the days of crime and mystery novel Cartagena Negra has launched the First Novel Black Cartagena Award, which has already selected its five finalists.
The jury will make public the name of the winner of this first edition during the closing of the third conference, to be held next September 2017. The finalists of this year are 'Azul marino' by Rosa Ribas y Sabine Hoffman;
'The blind spot', by Aro Sáinz de la Maza;
'Ful', by Rafa Melero;
'The garden of cardboard', by Santiago Álvarez;
And 'The dead travel fast', by Vicente Garrido and Nieves Abarca.
The prize, which for the moment does not have an endowment, seeks to recognize the literary values ​​of those black novels published throughout the year immediately preceding, in this case during 2016. It was also born with a vocation of continuity and as an activity that, in addition To recognize the merit of the selected authors, aims to contribute both to the dissemination and consolidation of these days dedicated to the black genre in the city of Cartagena.
