The Economic Strategy Area of ​​the City of Cartagena has made public the award of the stalls of the handicraft and jewelry market of the Plaza Bohemia in La Manga for the summer period.
In total there are 32 spaces awarded, which as a novelty are granted over a period of 8 years, extendable by another 8, provided that the activity for which it was awarded is maintained.
Ana Belén Castejón, Deputy Mayor and responsible for the Economic Strategy area, recalled the relevance of this market.
"This is a must visit for tourists who come to our coast in summer, because of its uniqueness and the great work of the craftsmen of the different stalls," he explained.
He has also reiterated his firm commitment to the markets of our municipality.
"We are making a great effort to regularize them and create a body that facilitates the participation of sellers in the decisions that affect this area. As was approved in the past, we will create the Municipal Board of Sale, That we have already drafted a regulation, "said Castejón.
During the award process, 41 applications were submitted, of which 29 were for renewal and the remaining new ones.
Merchants that have one of these spaces will be able to dispose of them for commercial use from June 15 until September 15 between 5:00 pm and 2:00 p.m.
Given that these posts are located in a very crowded tourist area, to be striking, the Administration will review the status of the covers of each of the posts to conform to what is established in the municipal norm, in terms of color, Having uniformity in them, as well as that the state of the fabric is in good condition.
