The area of ​​Sustainable Development of the City of Cartagena constituted yesterday afternoon the Mobility Table 'M17'.
During this first meeting, held in the administrative building of San Miguel and chaired by the general director of Infrastructures, Manuel Nicolás, attended by representatives of the Federation of Neighborhood Associations of Cartagena and Comarca (FACVAC), Port Authority, University Polytechnic (UPCT), the Trade Federation and the collective MoviliCT.
Among other agreements, it was decided to invite to participate in the next meeting, which will be held next month in the Chamber of Commerce, the Autonomous Community as well as some member of the Municipal Accessibility Plan.
PRESENTATION OF THE STRATEGIC MOBILITY PLAN 'M17'
The director general of Infrastructures presented the Strategic Plan of Mobility M17 of Cartagena, putting the necessary documentation at the disposal of the assistants for its study.
In addition, Nicolás gave a brief description of the Plan and explained the twenty measures to be developed, including the drafting of a Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan in La Manga, the establishment of a series of intermodal public transportation areas and Private access to the historic center or the increase of the interconnection of the bike lanes.
In this sense, the participants in the meeting celebrated the opportunity provided by the City Council to participate in the city model and the commitment of the municipal government to include in the budget of 2018 and in successive the result of the 'M17' Mesa in Issues such as the bicycle lanes or greenways, with the aim of facilitating a sustainable city model.
Similarly, during the meeting it was specified that the functions of the Bureau include coordination of the development of the European Mobility Week, to be held in Cartagena in September.
