The Informajoven and the European Volunteer Service (EVS) of the Youth Council of the City of Cartagena offers during this month of June two free computer workshops.
The workshops, which will be taught by the European Volunteer from Greece Apostolis Karkanakis, will take place in the Computer Room located in the Center for Youth Resources that is located on the Paseo Alfonso XIII.
This activity is an initiative that is part of your personal project as a European volunteer.
Apostolis has extensive computer knowledge and wants to offer his disinterested help to those citizens who do not deal well with new technologies.
Thus, with these workshops, a total of 23 people of all ages will have the opportunity to learn the basic tools needed to perform in those situations that are in their daily lives.
There will be two workshops, one of initiation and another something more advanced on handling of Google Docs, that will take place on Wednesdays and Fridays of June in sessions of two hours each, where the volunteer will offer computerized knowledge with a methodology of practical and adapted character To the personal needs of each participant.
The initiative seeks to provide participants with the opportunity to lose their fear of new technologies, acquire skills to be able to carry out paperwork and online management, and, in short, to awaken in them the confidence necessary to manage themselves in their daily operations in the most Autonomy and encourage them to continue learning.
