The mayor, José López, along with the rector of the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (UPCT), Alejandro Díaz Morcillo, the deputy mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, municipal spokesmen, councilors of the Municipal Corporation and officials, have kept this minute a minute of silence Before the Administrative Building of San Miguel in solidarity with the victims of the criminal attack perpetrated in the city of London last Saturday, June 3, 2017.

The strike has been carried out following the calls of the Government of the Nation and the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Province (FEMP).

Also as a sign of official mourning, decreed by the Government of the Nation, the official flags of the municipal buildings will wave at half-mast between nine o'clock in the morning of Monday, June 5, until 9 o'clock on Wednesday, June 7 2017.
