EMITE Ingeniería, a spin-off company of the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (UPCT), in collaboration with the German multinational Rohde & Schwarz, has been selected by the leading mobile operator in Australia for the installation of the system that allows the evaluation of airborne performance Of the most advanced mobile terminals in the world, with transmission speeds of up to one gigabit.
The speeds of that network allow to download on the mobile a video 4K of 30 minutes and 360 ° in just 15 seconds.
"Nothing can escape the user's attention in live streams," says EMITE founder David Sánchez.
The equipment manufactured at EMITE headquarters in Fuente Álamo has been successfully installed and validated in Australia, where "it will be used by the mobile operator to determine which terminals can operate in the world's fastest mobile data network, a pioneer in the Aggregation of carriers with MIMO 4x4 in Advanced LTE, also denominated as 4.5G and advance of the 5G ", explains the researcher of the UPCT.
"We are very proud of this important leap in quality and support for EMITE," says Sánchez, executive director of EMITE.
"With Spanish and German technology we have created the only system in the world capable of performing these in-air evaluations for 4.5G cellular systems," he points out.
The technology-based company EMITE Ingeniería, created by the researcher of the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (UPCT) David Sánchez, already participated in the first tests that were carried out worldwide to check the performance of the Advanced LTE technology transmitting data wirelessly to 600 Megabits per second (Mbps), a world record speed that multiplies by 30 the capacities of the current high-end mobile phones, and recently announced a similar advance with Wi-Fi technology from the Japanese multinational Anritsu.
