On Tuesday, June 6, will be the delivery of the Gold Medal of Cartagena to the Marine Infantry School General Albacete and Fuster in recognition of the services provided to the city since its creation in 2004, and especially by the organization Of the Route of the Strengths.
The event will take place at 10 o'clock in the esplanade of the Heroes of Cavite and Santiago de Cuba and will participate in a Marine Corps training that will carry the flag of the school, also donated a few years ago by the City Council, which The mayor, Jose López, will impose the tie that represents this decoration, the maximum that can be granted by the City Council to an institution and that already have other military entities such as the Spanish Navy, Marine Corps Band or the Civil Guard itself .
The ceremony will be brief and solemn.
It will be chaired by the mayor and the admiral of Maritime Action, Manuel de la Puente, along with the current director of the School of Marine Infantry, Enrique Montero.
The City Council unanimously agreed to grant this medal on April 27 of this year.
The file of honors and distinctions, which was instructed by the mayor himself, registered numerous adhesions, which made special mention of the impeccable organization of the Route of Strengths, from its first edition in 2010, to date.
The event will be held early in the morning to avoid the heat that is already beginning to be done in the central hours and will be open to all citizens wanting to join.
