The inauguration of the exhibition of the training workshops of the Popular University gathered yesterday in the cultural center Ramón Alonso Luzzy to more than 300 people, among them were the Deputy Mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, the Councilor for Culture, David Martínez Noguera, and The director of the UP, José Macián.
The students have the opportunity to show the work they have done throughout the course in the workshops of Drawing and Painting, Sculpture and Modeling, Ceramics, Crafts and Textile, in an exhibition that can be visited in The cultural center until next June 23.
The deputy mayor praised the efforts made by the students.
"For the students of the Popular University their works show what they have learned, but above all they are a sample of how they interpret the art, the creativity and the ability they have to express it, for all this their works are an authentic work of art" , Affirmed Castejón.
For his part, the mayor of Culture appreciated the confidence of the students in the UP, as well as the dedication and good work of the teachers.
"I want to express my gratitude for the trust you have placed in this institution, which for many of you is like your second home, and also to congratulate the teaching staff for the magnificent work you do in the Popular University," said David Martinez.
