The spokesman of the MC Municipal Group and Councilor for the Quality of Life area, Francisco Calderón, along with volunteers from the Food Bank of the Region, have been mentioned this morning with a representation of farmers from the Campo de Cartagena to make effective the reception of the Donation of half a ton of freshly harvested potato that will target the beneficiaries of the Regional Food Bank, located in Cartagena.
In this way, the aforementioned agri-food sector has materialized a remarkable act of solidarity, evidencing its support for the most disadvantaged groups, the users of the aforementioned social entity.
The donation made this morning will be the first of others that will happen in the coming weeks, providing fresh and seasonal products, such as melon.
MC wants to congratulate the farmers who, with this gesture, have verified their involvement with the social environment, contributing in a decisive way to the achievement of the objectives pursued by the Food Bank.
The Cartagena formation has always shown a special sensitivity with the current situation that the professionals of the Field of Cartagena suffer, hearing their proposals and transfer them to the decision forums and competent administrations.
This, to demand the necessary actions that must guarantee the survival of a key economic sector in the present and future development of the Region of Cartagena.
