This Tuesday was presented in the multipurpose room of the Palacio Molina the book 'Relojes de Torre', by José Manuel Solloso.
The event was attended by the mayor of Cartagena, José López, the councilor of the Area of ​​Culture and Archaeological Heritage, Ricardo Segado, accompanied by the author himself and other members of the municipal corporation as Manuel Padín.
Also present was the general director of Archaeological Heritage, Carmen Berrocal.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
José Manuel Solloso García, Lieutenant of Navío (RR), was born in Ferrol in 1949, and in 1976 he was assigned to Cartagena where, during his long military career, he carried out and developed his work on several ships of the Navy and military units until 2001, Year in which it passes to the active reserve.
He is the author of the book Armada Española Force of Measures against Mines 1939-2016, collaborates with his articles in the General Magazine of Navy, in the Bulletin of Information of Personnel (Armada), in the newspaper La Verdad of Cartagena and in the magazine Historical .
As an amateur to manufacture lead soldiers since his youth, has permanently exhibited in the Naval Museum of Cartagena, the entourage of the burial of the remains of King Alfonso XII on his way through Cartagena, represented in lead soldiers at a scale of 45 m / M.
His fondness for military uniformity also facilitated the design of the dressing of the Picket of Honors of the Grouping of Californian Grenadiers.
It is in possession of the Cross and the Order of the Royal Order of San Hermenegildo, as well as several crosses of Naval Merit.
