Provisional proposals for the awarding of temporary beach facilities for the summer may be made permanent and allow for the start-up of the chiringuitos starting next week.

This was explained by the Councilor for Tourism, Obdulia Gómez, after the meeting of the Recruitment Bureau that took place this Friday, May 26, to continue with the procedure for the resolution of awards of temporary beach facilities for Seasons 2017/2020.

At the meeting the deadline of 10 working days has been opened so that the proposals that have been awarded the posts provisionally submit the additional documentation specified in the tender documents.

Thus, explained the Councilor for Tourism, "as they complete this required documentation, the provisional proposal of the Contracting Bureau will go to final proposal."

The mayor recalled that on Wednesday, May 31, the Bureau of Recruitment will meet, as usual, and stressed that those who have submitted the required documentation, will receive this Wednesday the final proposal on which the resolution will be made with all Conditions and that will allow the chiringuitos to start up.

He pointed out that, once the final proposal has been obtained, the successful tenderers will be able to start the procedures to install the premises, taking into account the constraints usually imposed by Costas and environmental organizations.

In addition, in several cases, a municipal authorization may be necessary for the rush.

Therefore, explained Gómez, from now on, the implementation of the chiringuitos will depend "on the speed with which they complete the documentation".
