This morning, the first edition of the 8th school football trophy 'Educando en Valores', a new project of FC Cartagena, the Football Association of Cartagena (AFCT) and the Foundation of the club launched during this 2017 All the entities and educational centers of the municipality walk hand in hand in the formation of the smallest in order to create better people in the future.
It is not understandable in today's society that a project for young athletes is not tied to values ​​and education, so important in our society.
That is why these entities have wanted to take the first steps so that all athletes in the city's football base are clearly aware of the value and importance of the education they receive every day in the classrooms of the different educational centers of the city;
An important daily work carried out in schools (institutes and colleges).
The FC Cartagena, the AFCT and the Foundation want with this initiative to create the necessary links with the educational centers to enhance the value of the daily work of the same, understanding that the basic athletes should combine a good academic record, a good behavior and the Coexistence in the school as basic requirements to be in the teams, and also that being part of them serve to improve their behavior and good coexistence in the school, all linked to the importance of growing in values , Skills and education.
To this end, this trophy was organized on May 19 in the football field of CD Mediterráneo.
In its first edition participated eight teams composed of students of ESO of different centers with more than 140 boys and girls who could enjoy a disputed morning sport that ended with the following classification:
1st place and champion: IES Galileo de Pozo Estrecho.
2nd place: IES Los Molinos.
3rd place: IES Isaac Peral.
4th place: Colegio Hispania.
On the other hand, this Friday, May 26th, the first edition for the third year students of Primary has been held, also in the football field of CD Mediterráneo, which has concluded with this final classification:
1st CEIP San Ginés de la Jara.
2nd Colegio Hispania, class C.
3rd Spanish College, class B.
This trophy has a mixed character and has been organized and subsidized by the AFCT, FC Cartagena and FC Cartagena Foundation in collaboration with the Department of Sports of the City of Cartagena.
