The Local Police of Cartagena, in collaboration with the Department of Education, has developed visits to the students of the different municipal schools of the city, in order to bring police work closer to the younger ones.
"These kinds of talks are very important for children to learn basic concepts of road safety, in addition to giving them guidelines for reacting to an emergency, such as calling 112," explained Education Councilor David Martinez Noguera.
In this way, the students of the municipal nurseries have had the opportunity to know the police vehicles, as well as basic concepts on road safety, interacting with the small ones and offering them advice on how they should act if they are lost in the street.
The schools visited have been the following:
