The Cartagena Deputation of La Puebla celebrates the tenth edition of Potato Day next Sunday, June 4, with a day of celebration, with gastronomic tastings and competitions, among other activities, which will be attended by the mayor of Cartagena, José López , And the Councilor of Celebrations, Juan Pedro Torralba.
Thus, the activities will begin at 9.30 am, with a direct sale of potatoes for consumption.
From 10.00 hours the craft market will be open to the public and at 10:30 a.m., the opening of the new José Manuel Claver avenue is planned.
At 11.00 hours the inauguration of the Potato varieties exhibition of the Campo de Cartagena has been scheduled and, at 12.00 hours, the children's contest and the launching of potatoes to the pot will begin.
Finally, starting at 13.30 hours, the traditional tasting of roasted potatoes, boiled potatoes and tortilla chips will begin.
