This Tuesday, May 23, the closing ceremony of the Workshops for the Promotion of Immigrant Women of the Intercultural Centers during the 2016/17 academic year took place and belong to the Immigration and Cooperation Unit for Development of the Department of Social Services And Social Mediation of the City of Cartagena.
Thus, the event was attended by 60 women, students of the workshops, who have received from the hands of the Councilor for Social Services and Social Media, Carmen Martín del Amor, a certificate that symbolizes the effort of the students during this course.
Classes began in October 2016 and have ended this month in May.
They have worked on aspects such as comprehensive reading, vocabulary expansion and social skills, information has been provided to the participants on topics such as education and health and has taken part in municipal activities along with other groups of women in Days marked as the Commemoration of the Day of Migrations, Women's Day, the continued reading of El Quijote or Literary Encounter of Stories.
All these activities have been developed during the present course with the purpose of increasing the level of autonomy and personal promotion of the students of the workshops.
