Yacht Port Cartagena sponsors, once again, the IX Carburo Silver Solidarity Regatta.
As has been customary in previous editions, the marina has ceded its infrastructures and mooring points to the Nautical Portman Club for the celebration of the regatta.
This year, they have the brand new trophy for the first time in the history of the race with the I Copa Yacht Port Cartagena.
Mamen Ros, manager of Yacht Port Cartagena, has highlighted the honor it means for them to contribute their bit in this solidarity cause.
"You never know when it can touch you and you have to support those who need it the most," said Mamen.
He also highlighted the "excellent" work developed by Blas Isaac and the Portman Nautical Club for this regatta to be held every year.
For his part, the president of the Nautical Club Portman has highlighted "the unbeatable facilities" of Yacht Port Cartagena for the development of the race and that "without its involvement year after year would not be possible."
The Carburo de Plata Solidarity Regatta, which will be held on 2, 3 and 4 June and which will have the participation of more than 80 boats and 500 crew members, has consolidated in the regional and national panorama as a sporting event of first level , But also stands out for its marked solidarity objective.
Since the first edition, this sporting event has donated more than 36,000 euros to non-profit associations working for a fairer society.
This year, the IX Silver Carbide Solidarity Regatta is celebrated for the benefit of the Association of Rare Diseases of Genes.
In this context, the Carburo de Plata Solidarity Regatta celebrates its 9th edition in order to support the great work that D'Genes carries out, giving visibility, from the sport, to the rare diseases and the people who suffer them.
In this way, sport and solidarity go hand in hand once again in one of the largest nautical competitions at the national level.
The trophies that will be disputed in this edition will be the IV Trofeo Audi Huertas Motor and I Trofeo Yacht Port Cartagena.
