Firefighters from the Fire Extinguishing and Rescue Service (SEIS) of the Cartagena City Council came last night, Wednesday, May 17, to extinguish a fire in a house located in one of the basement of the Gemini Building of the Manga del Mar Menor, in the Gran It is next to the hotel Entremares.
About 23:15, neighbors warned 112 that they were seeing smoke coming out of the affected building that was also affecting the other houses in the building.
For this reason Local Police and firemen of the consortium, who were already there when the service of SIX arrived, decided to take precaution to evacuate the inhabitants of the Gemini Building.
The fire had occurred to ignite, for reasons that are not known, a sofa in the interior of the mentioned dwelling.
It was then extinguished and ventilated both that room and the box of stairs of the Building, so that its inhabitants could return to their homes in total safety at 1:00 am.
