The Diario de Menorca has published a full report on the final work of the architect Arturo García Agüera, focused on the revitalization of the culture of traditional vessels.
The project, directed by Juan Pedro Sanz Alarcón, proposes some open-air shipyards in which the carpenters can recuperate the riverbank carpenters by means of their musealización the realization of courses on the construction of wooden ships with Latin sail.
"As a sailor I have been able to know the nautical Balearic and I have always been struck by their typical boats, very similar to the Latin Mar Menor and Cartagena," explains the exalumno.
"They are an icon in Menorca and the association Amics de la Mar works to conserve them"
García Agüera made his designs for the Menorca town of Fornells, but argues that the idea of creating naval workspaces open to the public along the promenades is perfectly applicable on the coast of the Region of Murcia.
