Sixteen dishes, eight salted and eight sweets, competed on Tuesday for winning first place in the XXIII Cooking Contest held in Pozo Estrecho and organized by the local Housewives Association.
The event was attended by Deputy Mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, Equality Councilor, David Martinez, and the President of the Neighborhood Council, Carolina Álvaro.
Silvia Alegría and Vanesa Hernández were the winners of the salty modality with their ribs to the honey, while Odette Posen was made with the triumph in the category of sweets with its carrot cake to the cream.
The second and third places in salt were for Ignacio Sanchez and Eugenio Cruz respectively, while in the category of sweet were for Josefa Martinez and Loli Pastrana.
The winners in the Best Presentation modality were: Ignacio Sánchez, with his cake of leeks, asparagus and prawns;
And Loli Pastrana, with their Coca-Cola cake.
"Pozo Estrecho can boast of its gastronomy, in fact, Galician balls are very well known and our kitchen competition is more successful every year," said Deputy Mayor Ana Belén Castejón. "It is enough to see the magnificent dishes that have been presented this year" .
The jury of the contest was formed by Fernando Baños (professor of the ADLE);
María Jesús Rosalvaro (Cook of the Galileo restaurant bar);
And José David Acosta (manager of Casa Tomás), in the form of salted.
In the sweet category, the jury was formed by Montserrat Rincón (teacher of the hotel school);
José María Gandía (cook in La Manga club);
And Loli Justicia (vocal of the neighborhood board and housewife).
