'La Tribu29' was the band chosen by the public of the Ventepijo festival as the winner of the second edition of its regional band competition.
A total of 29 bands have appeared in this new edition of the contest in which they have counted more than 2,000 votes, of which a total of 565 were for the winning group.
After winning the contest, La Tribu29 joins the third edition of the festival and closes a poster that will be shared on Saturday, June 10, in Pozo Estrecho with artists such as Nunatak with the Santa Cecilia Musical Artistic Society of Pozo Estrecho, Noise Box, Air Canada, Karmacadabra, Moody Sake, Clot, Alex Orellana, Sin-H, Jaro Desperdizio, J Higgz and Suzukid Dj.
The Tribu29 was born in 2009 in Javalí Nuevo and currently has a total of nine members: Carlos Tirititran to the voice;
Joaquín López 'Quini' with the flamenco guitar;
Pepe Abellán, with the flamenco cajón;
The battery Alberto Garrido;
Juanmi Martínez with the bass;
Andrés Torrés with the electric guitar;
The saxophonist Franky Ramos;
The trumpeter Jesus Fayos and Mario Canovas with the trombone.
The band, formed by students of Jazz, seeks to keep the flame of the flamenco tradition, black and Cuban but adapting it to these times.
For its members, the competition represented a great opportunity and have come to set up impromptu concerts in bars in order to convince the public to vote.
This second edition of the contest of bands has been a success of call with respect to its previous edition in which a total of 20 groups participated, among which Pleyel was the winning band.
In this new installment, the variety of styles has regained control and have been able to find proposals of rock, pop, indie, fusion, song of author or electronic music.
The Ventepijo festival will celebrate its third edition with more enthusiasm and enthusiasm than ever before, after two previous editions that have consolidated it as one of the most interesting and original proposals of the year in the Region.
It is an authentic celebration of the music of Murcia in which the party and the gastronomy are mixed offering a unique experience.
The entrance fee is 10 euros.
