The members of the Council of Equal Opportunities of the Municipality of Cartagena, which began its journey at the end of last year, received this morning, Tuesday, May 16, a specialized training seminar organized by the Department of Equality in the area of ​​its competence .
This training is framed in the draft of the II Equal Opportunity Plan of the municipality, for the elaboration of which will be given several talks and seminars to the members of the council.
Carmen Martín, along with other councilors of municipal groups, municipal technicians and members of social organizations, spoke about issues related to equal opportunities between men and women. Women as they are: the sex-gender system, the process of including equality in the political agenda, the normative framework in this matter, fundamental concepts in the field of equal opportunities, or the development of municipal equality and participation plans Citizen
The training this morning has been carried out by the social worker, specialist in the field of equality and doctor in Feminist and Gender Studies, Francisco Panalés, who has constructed his explanation about the history of the feminist movement, the main engine of the struggle for equality.
The methodology that has been used for this seminar has been based on dialogical expositions in which the interaction of the participants has been promoted, both together and through work dynamics in small groups with subsequent pooling.
