The section of the Festival of Emerging Art Mucho Más Mayo dedicated to the students of different educational centers of Cartagena, returns in this VIII edition under the name 'Art to the Center'.
Thus, on Wednesday, May 17, the Festival will count on the collaboration of students from secondary schools that, through projects and activities, will expand the art of the different streets and squares of the city.
It will begin with the exhibition of 'The Club of the living poets' by the students of the Baccalaureate of Performing Arts of the institute Isaac Peral, at 20 hours, in the Arab Courtyard of Casa Dorda (C / del Carmen).
The students will show a scenic show that fuses singing, music, dance and declamation, interpreting songs and poetic texts by contemporary authors.
The activities developed by the students will continue in La Botica, José María de Lapuerta's Neighborhood Association with 'The mills garden', at 18,30 hours.
The students of the institute of the Mills will be in charge of the development of this activity where they will install some grinders made by themselves.
This installation will be merged with the neighborhood garden of José María de Lapuerta, remembering that in the past dozens of mills populated the countryside of Cartagena and, at the same time, representing the union of young people with the neighborhood.
More activities will be developed, this time around the cinema and workshops throughout Wednesday.
At 19.00 hours will be the last talk 'Negative ontologies of the community', the Conference Cycle of the Festival.
It will be held in the conference hall of the Teatro Romano Museum and will be attended by Carlos Areán, professor of Philosophy.
Through this conference, attendees will know the meaning of identity within a community.
In the Plaza San Francisco will be projected, at 21.00 hours, the last feature film 'Edifico España' of the film cycle 'Memories displaced'.
The screening will be accompanied by a small colloquium that will feature the participation of the film director Luis López Carrasco and the audience.
The activities will also expand to the neighborhood of José María de Lapuerta, with the recycling workshop 'Taller de bookplanter', from 16.00 to 18.30 hours, where you will learn how to reuse and recycle an old book and turn it into a floral center .
All the activities developed until the duration of the Mucho Más May 2017 Festival are free and open access.
