Cartagena will host next Saturday, May 20, the national campaign of blood donation called Reto Drop to Drop.
The solidarity initiative will take place on the ground floor of the Palace Hall from 10 to 14 hours, organized by the Regional Hemodonation Center with the collaboration of real estate agents of the city and the Council of Quality of Life of the City of Cartagena.
To facilitate participation in the campaign, donors will have two hours of free parking in the parking lot of Alfonso XII.
The Drop-to-Drop Challenge is practically celebrated in all the cities of Spain, having a very good reception among blood donors.
Cartagena will be the first in the Region to host it.
Although all blood groups are necessary, the most demanded are A + and 0+, being the most common in the population and A- and O - because they are the most scarce.
The requirements to be able to donate are between 18 and 65 years old and weighing 50 kilograms or more, not suffering from anemia and being in good health, however, each donor will undergo a medical examination before carrying out the donation of blood.
