For several weeks we have known all the municipal groups of this City Council of the serious situation that are living the children and their parents in the Llano del Beal.

This situation is determined by the studies being carried out by a researcher, which refer to the possible influence on the health of the children of CEIP San Ginés de la Jara, the contaminated soils surrounding the environment School and the town itself.

These studies warn of the public health hazards of schoolchildren, workers, teachers and school personnel, as concentrations of arsenic, cadmium, and lead are found in soil and water samples, which are very damaging to health.

The parents of the AMPA addressed a communique to all the municipal groups requesting to meet to discuss the problem that affects them.

That's why CTSSP came to the town this week and visited the vicinity of the Llano school.

At the meeting, parents and parents conveyed their concern to these results, moving us that no preventive measure of urgency has been put in place to the alarming conclusions of these studies, despite having requested it both the City Council and the Ministry of Education .

From CTSSP we will require the City of Cartagena that, under the precautionary principle, these emergency measures are implemented in coordination with the Ministry of Environment, Health, Education and Economic Development.

These include the continuous cleaning of classrooms, the area most affected by the pollutant residues inside the school, and the washing of the courtyards of the center and the streets of the town.

In addition, we consider it essential that local and regional institutions undertake a detailed study of the real danger of this waste through reports issued by technicians of the administration itself.

For its part, Ecologistas en Acción has also requested that preventive measures be taken, that the Regional Assembly proceed to make the necessary decisions for the sealing of the contaminated and toxic wastes from mining, and that a Epidemiological study in the area.

Proposals to which we will join from CTSSP taking an initiative to the next Plenary, which in turn will raise the parliamentary group of PODEMOS to defend themselves in the Regional Assembly.
