The Marine Reserve of Cabo de Palos will host the first National Conference of Federated Diving, which are convened on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Spanish Federation of Underwater Activities (FEDAS) and will bring together divers from all over Spain who will participate in various activities scheduled for this Weekend.
This was announced during the presentation of the conference on Thursday, May 11, the Councilor for Tourism and Litoral of the City of Cartagena, Obdulia Gómez, who has been accompanied by the president of the Federation of Underwater Activities of the Region of Murcia ( FASRM), Jesus Cano.
Obdulia Gómez recalled that FEDAS is not only diving but "have many sports activities related to the underwater world, such as underwater fishing, swimming with fins, underwater orientation, photography in apnea as well as photography and underwater video, plus a Series of emerging sports such as hockey and submarine rugby. For his part, the president of the FASRM thanked the collaboration of the City of Cartagena and all the diving centers and clubs of Cabo de Palos at the time of organizing these days, and wished it to be the first of many editions in the near future. years.
He has highlighted the success of participation that has been registered, with the registration of more than 150 divers who will represent all the autonomous communities and can visit the Marine Reserve of Cabo de Palos and Cartagena.
PROGRAMMING OF THE CONFERENCES
The conference will begin this Friday, May 12, around 12:00, with the official reception to the participants in the Interpretation Center of Cabo de Palos.
At 1550 hours, the president of the FASRM will be in charge of presenting and inaugurating the event.
From 16.00 hours, the Head of the Fisheries and Agriculture Department of the General Directorate of Livestock, Fisheries, Aquaculture and Environment, Emilio Dolores, will offer the presentation 'Cabo de Palos Marine Reserve'.
At 4.30 pm, the director of the Territorial School of Autonomous Diving (ETBAD) of the FASRM, José Manuel Babarro, will speak on 'Responsible diving and safe diving' and, at 17.00 hours, the medical commander of the Medical Center of the Armada (CBA), Angel Pujante, will expose 'Hyperbaric Medicine - New Tables'.

At night, starting at 9.30 pm, the dinner will begin for organizers and all participants, which will take place at the restaurant Sunset Area in La Manga del Mar Menor.
On Sunday, May 14, the same schedule will be followed on Saturday, with participants checking at 8:00 and dives from 8:15 to 2:00 p.m., and closing at 3:00 p.m.
