The second edition of the Ciudad de Cartagena Theater Festival will be held on June 2 with a series of theater performances set in the twentieth century and Classic Antiquity in Torres Park, organized by the Center for Dramatization of History (CCDH) With the collaboration of the City of Cartagena through the Area of ​​Culture and Archaeological Heritage.
This was announced by the councilman of the Cultural and Heritage Area of ​​Cartagena, Ricardo Segado, in the official presentation of the festival, accompanied by the actor and director of one of the works, José Antonio Ortas;

And actor and former Cartagonova FC player, Luis Martínez Arasa.
The first of the performances, which will arrive on June 2 with the opening of the festival, will be 'Alegría en las Ondas', which will recreate the broadcast of the program 'Alegrías en las Ondas', on Radio Continental, in which the singer from Rockabilly , Estrella Alabama, will be represented by the actress Cristina Muiño and the owner and director of the station, José Antonio Lozano, will be played by Enrique Escudero.
There will be several live performances with Muiño as a singer and four musicians.
The work, which will start at 10 pm, will be priced at 8 euros although included within the 20 euro bonus which includes four works of the festival.
On Saturday, June 3, 'El Molinete' will be staged.

The third event of this festival will arrive on Friday, June 9th, with the performance of Euripides' Troyanas, which will represent the company Ditirambo under the direction of José Antonio Ortas.
Tickets for this performance are also included within the € 20 bonus for four performances and € 8 if purchased separately.
The following Friday, June 16, the Carmona company Entrementes Teatro will stage "what would have happened had Miguel de Cervantes been born today and would have tried with a company of actors to assemble a work based on improvisation," explained Martínez Arasa, Who explained that this work was written last year by the winner of the 2017 Hache Award, Luis Leante, to represent the Book Day at the Instituto Cervantes.

In addition, on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 June there will be various street theater performances by the CCDH in collaboration with the Ditirambo Theater group.

The show will show young characters from the late 70's and early 80's, and will feature live music from the 80's.
Outside the festival, the CCDH has scheduled several activities for the summer of 2017, such as the representation of 'Bodas de Sangre', by Federico García Lorca, in an event with very limited capacity and requiring prior registration, in a natural space of Cartagena, with live music by guitarist Tano Moreno, cantaor Agustín Garnés and the performance of a total of 18 actors.
Another CCDH project for this summer is the Campus of Actors, which will feature national and international actors such as Ana Otero, Carlos Iglesias, Guillermo Montesinos and Chema de Miguel, among others.
