Forty companies, many more than the previous year, have collected curricula this morning and have informed students and recent graduates about their personnel selection processes at the Industrial School of the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (UPCT) during a new edition of the Forum Of Employment.
The Employment Forum, organized by the Fundación Universidad Empresa and the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (UPCT), hosts various activities, technical presentations of companies and conferences that will address issues related to skills in job search or steps to undertake.
"The aim is to be a meeting place between students and graduates and companies looking for qualified personnel," explained the Vice Chancellor of Innovation and Enterprise, Alejandro Pérez Pastor, who recalled that among the most demanded degrees by employers stand out The engineering.
"The employment rates of our alumni are much higher than the regional average of job placement for university students," added the vice-rector, guaranteeing "the UPCT's commitment to equip our students with the skills required by companies."
As a "springboard to the first job", Pérez Pastor has highlighted the 1,200 job placement opportunities offered by UPCT's COIE every year, with an annual increase of 20%.
"Half of the practices are remunerated, which is very important," concluded the vice-rector.
