The Councilor for Social Services, Carmen Martín, accompanied by the Deputy Mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, this morning communicated to four families who have been awarded the housing for social housing currently held by the City.
"These houses will become their homes and give them the opportunity to start a new stage in which they will not be alone because Social Services will be given all the support and help they need to improve their situation, Has explained the Deputy Mayor, Ana Belén Castejón.
Specifically, these are the four houses that have been rehabilitated in the last year and were abandoned until now.
Seventy-five families submitted applications to occupy these homes, which have been awarded to those who have obtained the highest score in the established scale that was presented in the databases published in December.
This score has been set according to the criteria of the need for housing, social aspects and economic aspects.
"In addition to informing them of the allocation of housing, we have reminded them that they also have to fulfill the social commitment they assume and that includes the schooling of children, sealing unemployment and finding employment and other issues with which we are convinced That there will be no problem, "said the Councilor for Social Services, Carmen Martin.
The amount of the rent has a social character and depends on the income of the family unit.
In addition, the Department of Social Services is finalizing the rehabilitation of five other homes that are almost completed and will soon be awarded.
