The cycle 'Los lunes ilustrados' begins in Cartagena on Monday, May 8, with a program of social gatherings about life in the Enlightenment.
Thus, during the four Mondays of May, the historians Francisco Henares and Jose Antonio de las Heras, who coordinate the organization of the course, will present various topics in a series of sessions that will also seek the participation of the attendees .
In this way, the two experts will introduce the topics of each session and present the main points on them, to give way to a round of questions that encourages a fluid and participatory dialogue.
The session of this Monday, which opens the cycle of gatherings, titled "Ecclesiastical religiosity," will introduce attendees in the religious life, the Church, the Sacraments and Convents of Cartagena during the Enlightenment.
Next Monday, May 15, will be about 'Popular Religiosity', so that will speak of the hermitages, tertiaries and brotherhoods of the time.
The third session of the cycle, which will take place on May 22, is entitled 'Family life' and will deal with home, food, work, children and death.
The last of the sessions, scheduled for Monday 29 and entitled "Life in the streets," will be devoted to analyzing safety, hygiene and social life in the light of the Good Government.
The cycle will be held, from 19.15 hours, every Monday in May at the Assembly Hall of the Military Museum Artillery Park.
It is framed within the schedule of activities for the celebration, this year 2017, of the Year of Enlightenment, and has the collaboration of the City of Cartagena.
