Half a million agricultural researchers are participating this Monday and Tuesday in the sixth Agro-Food Research Workshop (WiA2017) of the School of Agronomists of the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (UPCT).
The rector, Alejandro Díaz, inaugurated the conference, in which a score of PhD students from the TAIDA program are going to make oral presentations of their research and a fortnight expose their works in posters.
The Cátedra G's Spain - UPCT will award the best communication tomorrow.
Among the advances that will be shared by upcoming UPCT agricultural doctors are techniques for healthier foods, active packaging for longer shelf life, genetic improvements and new forms of cultivation, including the use of drones.
In addition, several CSIC researchers hold invited conferences, such as the morning of Diego Orzaez, which will deal with cloning tools.
