Firefighters from the Fire Extinguishing and Rescue Service (SEIS) of the Cartagena City Council evacuated this afternoon a 51 year old cyclist who had had an accident near the Cala de Los Boletes, in the surroundings of the Muela - Cabo Tiñoso.
About four o'clock in the afternoon, the regional service 112 was received, which first required the attention of the medical services, who, when checking the difficult access to the area where the wounded person was, requested urgent help from the Cartagena firefighters for evacuation on a stretcher to the ambulance.
Six firefighters with two light vehicles were immediately evacuated, who found the cyclist unconscious and attended by medical services.
Also they were effective of the Local Police of Cartagena and of the Civil Guard.
The firefighters proceeded to transfer the wounded person on a stretcher to the path where the ambulance was, which quickly transported him to the hospital of Santa Lucia.
