On Friday, May 5, at 19:30 hours, the presentation of the biography of the poet Miguel Hernández 'Pasiones will take place at the Auditorium of the Technical School of Architecture and Construction of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) , Prison and death of a poet.
The author of the biography José Luis Ferris will describe some of the myths that were woven around Miguel Hernandez and that had never before been questioned, such as his formation, his difficult relationship with some of the writers of the 'Generation of 27' , His closeness to Pablo Neruda and Vicente Aleixandre, his close relationship with Cartagena through Carmen Conde and Antonio Oliver, the four relevant women who formed part of his life and a long list of nuances that will bring the attendants to a different Miguel Hernández .
'Passions, prison and death of a poet' is part of the activities that are being carried out in Cartagena on the occasion of the declaration of 'Ciudad Hernandiana', and that on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the death of Miguel Hernández and his link with The port city, numerous activities have been programmed around the figure of the Alicante poet.
The presentation, organized by the Collective of Adult Education 'Carmen Conde', in collaboration with the Department of Culture of the City of Cartagena, aims to bring the poet's life from an unknown perspective in homage to his professional and personal trajectory.
José Luis Ferris, author of this biographical presentation, has a long history as a writer and Spanish essayist.
