The mayor of Cartagena, José López, chaired Thursday, May 4, the meeting to set up the review table of the General Urban Planning Plan (PGOU).

It is a "plural and participatory" working table to elaborate the new PGOU, whose revision was annulled by the Supreme Court.

Thus, the table is composed of 20 members, including councilors of municipal groups, municipal and autonomous technicians, neighbors, social agents, environmental groups and associations for the defense of heritage.

Specifically there are 2 representatives of each group, in total 5 councilors and 5 members in neighborhood councils;

2 local representatives, one representative of Ecologistas en Acción and another from the CreeCT association;

Two representatives of the Heritage Advisory Council, as well as a representative of COEC, Chamber of Commerce of Cartagena, the Coordinator of Associations of Farmers and Cattlemen (COAG), and the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (UPCT).

Likewise, the incorporation of municipal technicians is considered that are considered accurate.

The mayor has indicated in this regard that it has been sought to include groups that include other organizations, interests and sensibilities so that all requests and contributions can be channeled from all interested organizations.

In this first meeting of constitution the municipal technicians have explained to the members of the table in broad outlines of where is the plan with respect to the environmental reports and what works have to be done, and that the first works are being carried out On the municipal map at the general level of delimitation of population nuclei, common areas or natural spaces.

They have been given a plan to the members of the commission of the plan of 87 and a plan of the plan that was revoked by the Supreme and will be given an email address so they can make their contributions.

The following table will be convened when there are sufficient contributions to be processed or when the municipal technicians have advanced in their writing and in their studies of the different parts of the plan.
