This Wednesday the poster of the LVII edition of the International Festival of the Cante of the Mines of the Union was presented in the Patio of the Regions of the Regional Assembly, that will be celebrated from the 2 to the 12 of August.
It is a work painted in 1968 by the unionist artist Asensio Sáez and adapted by his student and countryman Esteban Bernal on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the death of this multifaceted favorite son of La Unión who also dedicated himself to poetry, writing, Illustration and teaching.
The event was chaired by the Regional Assembly President, Rosa Peñalver, and the meeting was attended by the Deputy Mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón;
The executive president of the Cante de las Minas Foundation and mayor of La Unión, Pedro López Milán;
The councilor delegate of Tourism of Cartagena, Obdulia Gómez;
And the poster's own author, among other personalities.
