The presentation of the book 'The Spanish Dance and the scenic narrative' will close the set of activities that have been held, from April 28 to May 4, in Cartagena on the occasion of the International Day of Dance on April 29.
During the presentation of the literary work 'The Spanish Dance and the scenic narrative' the author, Inés Hellín Rubio, will debate about the same and the state of the Spanish Dance today.
This talk will take place on Thursday, May 4, at 8:30 pm, in the Hall of the Cultural Center Ramón Alonso Luzzy and will feature the performance of the dancers María Gómez and Belén Gómez.
This artistic and didactic activity will begin with the presentation of the book 'The Spanish Dance and the narrative stage', to give way to the flamenco dance with María Gómez.
Later the four forms of the Spanish Dance will be presented followed by the Dance of the Molinera de Belén Gómez.
Finally, we will discuss the current situation of this discipline accompanied by a performance with both dancers.
The author of the book Inés Hellín Rubio, with great experience in the world of dance as a solo ballet dancer in the Spanish Ballet of Murcia and with a solid theoretical and practical training, is the right person to describe through her new book the current situation that lives This artistic discipline.
Through this act that intermingles show and teaching, framed within the program of activities commemorating the International Day of Dance, organized by the Department of Culture of the City of Cartagena under the coordination of Margarita Amante, and the collaboration of virtually all Of studies and schools of dance of the city, it is tried to extend the dance like a cultural practice between the citizens, of fun form so that everybody enjoys practicing it.
